NAIROBI, Kenya, April 22, 2021 … Motor distributor Toyota Kenya has launched the Urban Cruiser in the Kenyan market, the latest SUV in the Toyota Kenya product line-up that will start retailing from KES2.7 million.

Toyota Kenya Managing Director, Arvinder Reel said the Urban Cruiser, which is the youngest SUV in the Toyota family, embodies the company’s commitment to delivering quality, durable, and reliable vehicles to give customers convenience, sense of ownership, and belonging.

“Toyota Kenya has always operated on the premise of giving our customers the best. And we as continue growing our B2C models offering, we believe that we are on the right step of encouraging more Kenyans to take up affordable brand-new vehicles that will offer value for money,” said Mr. Reel.

Urban Cruiser is an attractive SUV that combines the latest designs, newest trends in technology, and the comfort that you deserve. It has a stylish tone exterior, diamond-cut alloy rims, auto rain wipers, as well as an auto AC and leather steering wheel.

It comes with a wheelbase of 2500 mm, 3995 mm in length, 1790 mm in width, and with a height of 1640 giving the driver and the passengers both enough headroom and legroom. It also has a ground clearance of 198 mm making it suitable for an off-road experience.

The car comes equipped with a fuel tank capacity of 48 liters, 5 doors, and a sitting capacity of 5 persons. With a boot space of 328 liters, Kenyans will have an opportunity of carrying a sizeable amount of luggage in the boot without interfering with the other occupants in the vehicle.

“With the high fuel prices, we understand that Kenyans are looking for cars that are fuel-efficient and this is exactly how Urban Cruiser is modeled; fuel-efficient with an engine capacity of 1500CC. This ensures that our customers can spend less and travel for long,” added Mr. Reel.

To assist Kenyans to acquire the Urban Cruiser, Toyota Kenya has partnered with major financial institutions in Kenya that offer various financing options.

The Urban Cruiser will be available across Toyota Kenya’s network of 31 outlets countrywide, with customers enjoying a 3 year/100,000 km manufacturer warranty.
